A beautiful quilt created from part of an antique Japanese indigo futon cover. The crane katazome (stencil print) pattern symbolizes longevity, good fortune and fidelity. In Japan, certain cranes are believed to live to 1,000 years and are also thought to be monogamous, maintaining a lifelong relationship with the same partner.
This quilt is backed with a soft vintage indigo cotton, hand quilted with Japanese sashiko thread and framed with a double-fold binding.
